- Maybe I'm not implementing it correctly, but this still seems to result in the clipping at the end of the box instead of at the end of a word inside the limit.AlexC– AlexC2012-02-28 16:34:34 +00:00Commented Feb 28, 2012 at 16:34
- @AlexC it's late/early and my eyes are tired but I don't believe I saw that requirement in your question.Dagg Nabbit– Dagg Nabbit2012-02-28 16:52:34 +00:00Commented Feb 28, 2012 at 16:52
- Sorry I wasn't clear. That's what I meant when I said "They don't want the text to be cut off by the end of the input field and want the text in the box to fit the length of the box." I thought I was being clear, as the text already cuts itself off in an input box without any styling needed. I'll try to be clearer in the future. If it was late/early for you when you wrote, I hope you read this after a nice sleep. :)AlexC– AlexC2012-02-28 19:59:22 +00:00Commented Feb 28, 2012 at 19:59

How to Tag
A tag is a keyword or label that categorizes your question with other, similar questions. Choose one or more (up to 5) tags that will help answerers to find and interpret your question.
- complete the sentence: my question is about...
- use tags that describe things or concepts that are essential, not incidental to your question
- favor using existing popular tags
- read the descriptions that appear below the tag
If your question is primarily about a topic for which you can't find a tag:
- combine multiple words into single-words with hyphens (e.g. python-3.x), up to a maximum of 35 characters
- creating new tags is a privilege; if you can't yet create a tag you need, then post this question without it, then ask the community to create it for you
