$\begingroup$ as fun as that route sounds, it is theory. One person per company gets to establish a research department. Creative is not the same as productive, or able to pay bills. You have to write killer papers either way. One is about defending departmental budgets or research proposals while the other is about funding research proposals and departmental budgets. Vanity, like pride, comes before the fall. As humans our self-destruct buttons tend to be located right where we pat ourselves on the back. $\endgroup$
