    $\begingroup$ Very interesting paper. In reviewing Kohavi (1995) I felt that many statements were impossibly broad and largely unsubstantiated. It is a folk-wisdom paper whose critical interrogation is long overdue. $\endgroup$ Commented Jul 16, 2018 at 16:31
  • $\begingroup$ If I understand Zhang & Yang correctly, they recommend "delete-n/2", which seems to be the mean of all ${n \choose 2}=n(n-1)/2$ possibilities to partition the traing set in two parts. This is something different than Leave-One-Out. $\endgroup$ Commented Nov 23, 2022 at 14:39
