Dec 24, 2019 at 1:44 comment added Glen_b I have explored relative efficiencies in small samples for a number of common tests; the small-sample relative efficiencies are typically lower than the ARE but at usual sample sizes generally not by very much; the ARE is generally a pretty useful guide.
