Jun 23, 2016 at 19:27 comment added nima No don't bother I just thought you had the answer and I might've been too much demanding in my comment. I have no hurry.
Jun 23, 2016 at 16:57 comment added Bernard @nima: Not at all. I only had no time to investigate. I'll try to answer as soon as possible.
Jun 23, 2016 at 11:10 comment added nima was there something wrong with my comment?
Jun 22, 2016 at 9:15 comment added nima yeah. and would you please consider the shorter title for the headers?
Jun 22, 2016 at 9:14 comment added Bernard It's already enclosed in such a box, with a default length that can be changed. To sum it up, you want the long title in the toc, but without a manual line break as is in the title itself at the beginning of the chapter?
Jun 22, 2016 at 9:12 comment added nima I'm really grateful.
Jun 22, 2016 at 9:10 comment added nima Yeah Bernard, I haven't still assimilated or developed the latex language for it but yes I meant to be enclosed in a predefined length parbox.
Jun 22, 2016 at 9:02 comment added Bernard For the shorter title for heads (I suppose you mean the headers, at to top of each page), it should be perfectly possible with titletoc. I'll see the details.
Jun 22, 2016 at 8:59 comment added Bernard For your first comment (‘chapter title broken begins right at the same horizontal point and not below the chapter number’), that is the case in my code, or did I misunderstand? As to ‘longer title will automatically break at a defined point’, does this mean the chapter title in the toc has to be enclosed in a \parbox of a predefined length?
Jun 22, 2016 at 8:48 comment added nima I mean I need a shorter title for heads. If this is not possible, is it possible to store it in a command and put that command in my page style?
Jun 22, 2016 at 8:47 comment added nima thanks. It's almost. I use the shorter (optional) chapter title for heads and I want to define a length for the chapter entries so that the longer title will automatically break at a defined point. The frontms entries be aligned horizontally with the chapter entries title and not with their numbers, and the chapter title broken begins right at the same horizontal point and not below the chapter number. Sorry if my english is obscure.
