Thanks this seems useful, is it possible to put the arrows in the middle and mark the points where the orange and magenta lines arise from the semicircle with a cross?

Thank you very much. Just a minor point, is it possible to put the arrows in the middle of the orange and magenta lines because they tend not to get noticed if you put them at the endpoints. That is the reason why I put the arrows in my hand-drawn diagram in the middle.
