- 1Raid 0 on ordinary disks is only advisable when you either have good backups or don't care about losing all your data. (I've seen raid 0 on top of multiple small raid 5 arrays, and it was only done because the users couldn't afford a proper large array). It sounds like you care about losing data; do you have backups?Mark Plotnick– Mark Plotnick2018-09-26 12:04:02 +00:00Commented Sep 26, 2018 at 12:04
- Even if we have single disk, data loss is there...so what is the difference having a single disk or having raid-0 with 2 disks...?Akhil– Akhil2018-09-26 12:09:07 +00:00Commented Sep 26, 2018 at 12:09
- 2With 2 disks in raid 0, you get twice the chance of data loss!Jeff Schaller– Jeff Schaller ♦2018-09-26 12:16:35 +00:00Commented Sep 26, 2018 at 12:16

How to Tag
A tag is a keyword or label that categorizes your question with other, similar questions. Choose one or more (up to 5) tags that will help answerers to find and interpret your question.
- complete the sentence: my question is about...
- use tags that describe things or concepts that are essential, not incidental to your question
- favor using existing popular tags
- read the descriptions that appear below the tag
If your question is primarily about a topic for which you can't find a tag:
- combine multiple words into single-words with hyphens (e.g. shell-script), up to a maximum of 35 characters
- creating new tags is a privilege; if you can't yet create a tag you need, then post this question without it, then ask the community to create it for you
