That's one of the ways to use a bind mount, but bind mounts in themselves have nothing to do with containers. I mention it in my answer, but under the name “jail” rather than “container”; adding “container” would be a valuable edit (I'll do it). This is also a poor description: why mention that changes made outside are also available inside without mentioning the other way round?
