Timeline for Are there any plans in place for mainstream distributions (e.g., Ubuntu, CentOs, etc.) to switch /bin/python to point to /bin/python3?

There is not python in /bin/python, but there is a /bin/python3. When installing and then reinstalling apps, I was careful to not install any that still used python2. It was only 1 or 2 apps that I used to use. | |
