That's honestly non-negotiably bad for developing stuff. Being able to say "halt! at that point, and tell me what the value of that variable is" is so valuable that I'm confused why Arduino betrayed especially people who don't program for a living from this giant simplification for so long. I'd try to become friends with an IDE that does have a debugger, and instead of Arduino IDE v2, I'd recommend Platform IDE) | |
