    We recently noticed that all the “popups” we created on our site are in front of our site content, preventing some user interaction if it happens in the middle of the screen (behind the popup content)

    These are mainly wpforms, maybe it’s linked to that integration?

    I temporarily added 

    .modal-main-wrap:not(.active) {
     display: none;
    }

    This solves the issue, but what could be the source of the issue? I didn’t find any custom CSS that might cause this, so I was wondering if there was a bug introduced in a recent update.

    • Essential Blocks: 5.3.2

    Are the popups blocking interactions with elements behind them, or are they appearing behind other content unexpectedly? Your screen recording will help us understand the issue better and provide an accurate solution.

    Well yeah, that’s the issue. The content is rendered (invisibly) in front of the button. Therefore the browser thinks you are clicking the content of the popup instead of the button.

    Only when I add the workaround, am I able to click the button to properly open the popup.

    I’ve updated to the provided version.
    Seems to work for most popups. I still had to manually adjust some popups that had a regular WP Forms instead of the WP Blocks version of WP Forms. I’ve yet to encounter any issues since.
