It is not possible to select categories in the classic news editor. After updating the notes, the categories remain unselected

Same in my website, i cant change categories wehen i edit post or when i create post!!!

This is happening from Classic Editor in wordpress 6.7

Same here, and I thought it was my custom functions, turns out everybody seen to be having this issue as of now

Here the same technical problem with the classic editor after updating to version 6.7. Most posts assume the default category instead of the category selected by the user writer.

Same – I have a client that uses CE consistently and now it won’t save mulitiple categories.

Think this is the same as https://wordpress.org/support/topic/most-used-post-categories-not-saving/.

This is a bug in core. Fixed in WP 6.7.1 scheduled for release tomorrow, November 21, 2024.

In addition to the WP 6.7.1 release, Classic Editor 1.6.7 was just released, which further refines the fix until WP 6.7.2 (estimated for January). Please try out the plugin update and let us know if it doesn’t resolve the issue for you.
