Thank you for bringing that to our attention. I’ve just had a look at our internal issue tracker and this does appear to be a bug the hover functionality.
At the moment the hover functionality only applies to markers and does not effect shapes. We will address this in an upcoming update, however, in the meantime we might be able to help resolve this for your site with a temporary custom script.
Would you be open to sharing a link to your site so that I can prepare a script for you?

Thank you for understanding, we do appreciate that. Unfortunately, we don’t have a time estimate at the moment, but I expect it will be available in our next update as the bug appears to be a minor issue in terms of code complexity.
