Hi Ashikur,
thanks for your reply.
I’m waiting to hear from the Development Team, hopefully soon.
Best regards
Hi @fagfrank ,
Thank you for your patience.
After reviewing your query, we’d like to let you know that migrating from a single block plugin to Essential Blocks isn’t currently possible due to the updated code structure in Essential Blocks. Instead, we recommend recreating your content directly with Essential Blocks, making sure to keep the Single Block plugin disabled during the process.
If you run into any issues or need further guidance, please don’t hesitate to reach out—we’ll be happy to assist.
Thanks again for your understanding!

Hi Ashikur,
Thank you very much for your answer to my question.
My post on the support forum was born for two reasons:
- I used and still use the Accordion Toggle plugin on a WordPress site, and the accordion block was inserted into more than 100 pages. Recreating it by hand, replacing more than 200 blocks, is a lot of work and a big problem.
- I noticed that the Accordion Toggle plugin generates many incompatibilities with other plugins, including your Gutenberg Essential Blocks.
And here’s where the problems arise: If I enable the Gutenberg Essential Blocks plugin, the Accordion Toggle plugin stops working, and accordion blocks created with the old Accordion Toggle plugin aren’t recognized.
So I’m here to write my post requesting the migration tool.
If it’s not possible to migrate accordion blocks created with the Accordion Toggle plugin to Gutenberg Essential Blocks, is it possible to update the Accordion Toggle plugin to resolve the incompatibility issues for those of us who use this plugin extensively?
Hi @fagfrank ,
Sorry to hear about the difficulties you’re facing.
To use the Accordion block from Essential Blocks, you’ll need to deactivate the Accordion Toggle Single plugin first, as both plugins share a similar class and can’t run simultaneously without conflict.
We understand that rebuilding over 200 accordion blocks manually is a significant task, and we truly empathize with the inconvenience. However, once you switch to Essential Blocks, you can be confident in long-term stability, as we are actively maintaining and improving the plugin consolidating all single blocks into one for better performance and compatibility.
We truly appreciate your understanding and are here if you need further help, you can reach out to us here.
Best regards,
