The Events Calendar, duplicated language
-
Hello there,
I recently installed The Events Calendar and wanted to change a few strings in the Italian translation of the plugin.I’ve been using LOCO Translate for a few years now, so I added a new language on custom folder as usual, but I noticed that, unlike all other installed plugins, The Events Calendar has 2 different “Italian” files “by default”: one is from the Author (just like any other plugin) and one is marked as “System”. While the rest of my plugins only comes with the author translation.
I’ve contacted their support and could also reproduce the “issue” on one of their sandbox. But they can’t find any anomaly on their side, so they asked me to get in touch with you.
The issue can be reproduced on any fresh WP installation by following these steps:
- Install WordPress;
- Set the site and user language to Italian;
- Install The Events Calendar;
- Install LOCO Translate.
If the site is set to English, this does not happen.
That’s all for the moment, just please let me know how things are going if you look into it.
Best regards,
Marco Mandaliti
