    Hello;

I’m using the OCDI plugin to import demo for my theme that I developed, but I’m facing 2 issues:

1-When I import demo the first time, some menus and widgets doesn’t appear till I import the demo for the second time.

2-The pages are well imported, but they are not linked on advanced section of WooCommerce, I mean the cart page is imported but when I go to advanced section in WooCommerce, I find that the cart page is not mentionned there.

How can I fixe this 2 issues, please?

    Regards.

    Amine.

    Hi @ablamohamedamine,

I appreciate your patience! One of our developers checked your request and provided the following information along with this screencast of the demo import process.

As shown in the video, it took more than 5 minutes for the import to finish. Aside from one media import failure (most likely due to a non-existent image URL), the import completed successfully.

However, it’s important to note that most web hosting services may encounter timeout or resource limits with this kind of operation. You might need to contact your web hosting company to temporarily increase these resources to perform the import successfully.

Here are some recommended server settings:

    • upload_max_filesize (256M)
    • max_input_time (300)
    • memory_limit (256M)
    • max_execution_time (300)
    • post_max_size (512M)

Additionally, if you’re testing in your local environment, you need to add the following snippet:

    <?php add_filter('https_ssl_verify', '__return_false');

    I hope this helps. Thanks!

Hi @darshanaw ; thanks for your help, and thanks for your developer too.

After importing the demo, you can see on the provided video that there’s no images on slider, note that the slider’s images are set on the custoomizer section as background images.

Here’s the online website’s design where I exported the demo :https://dziri.teamine.agency/

NB: I’m using WP Hide & Security Enhancer plugin to change the default URLs.

    Regards.

    Hi @ablamohamedamine,

I received an update from our developer, and I appreciate your patience!

We were able to import it this time. It appears that you’re using a security plugin that “hides” the default URLs. As a result, the URLs in the dziri-export.dat file are not working.

    Example URL:

    https://dziri.teamine.agency/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Beige-and-Black-Cosmetics-Product-Banner-Landscape-scaled-1.jpg

To resolve the issue, you can do one of the following:

    1. Make the default wp-content/uploads URLs work.
    2. Change the URLs in your export files. We have modified the dziri-export.dat file with the new URLs (basically, we changed the default URLs to whemtooj), and you can download it here.

    I hope this helps. Thanks!

Hi @darshanaw ; thanks again for your assistance.

I check the demo now, and the issue is fixed, but still have 2 issues:

    • The menus are not loaded on the first upload.
    • The shop widget is not correct (You can compare with this page)

Here’s a video that shows what happend exactly (You can skip the upload time, sorry I have a bad internet).

    Hi @ablamohamedamine,

First of all, I apologize for the delay in response and thank you for your patience while we investigated the issues you reported with the menu loading and the shop filter widget after the demo import.

Our developer looked into the points you raised and the theme’s demo import process (OCDI). Here’s an update on both issues:

Menus Not Loading on First Upload:
Our developer attempted to reproduce this issue but was unable to do so in our testing environment—the menu imported correctly on the first attempt.

It’s possible this issue may be related to the server environment where you’re performing the import. Sometimes, server configurations (such as PHP memory limits or maximum execution time) can impact the import process, especially with larger demo files.

You might need to adjust your server settings as follows and retest this issue:
    – upload_max_filesize (256M)
    – max_input_time (300)
    – memory_limit (256M)
    – max_execution_time (300)
    – post_max_size (512M)

Alternatively, trying the import again or on a different server environment could help determine if it’s server-related.

Shop Widget (Filter by Attribute) Not Correct:

    • Our developer identified the cause of this issue. The “Filter by Attribute” widget saves its settings based on the specific database IDs of product attributes (like Color, Quantity, Size, etc.) from the original demo site where the export file was created.
    • When you import this demo content onto your new site, WordPress and WooCommerce create these attributes afresh in your database, assigning them different internal IDs.
    • The imported widget settings still refer to the old IDs from the export file, which no longer match the new IDs on your site. This is why the link breaks and the filter doesn’t function correctly immediately after import.
    • This is a known complexity with exporting/importing widget data that relies on these dynamic database IDs. Unfortunately, due to this technical limitation in how WordPress assigns these IDs during import, there isn’t a simple setting or quick fix to automatically map the old IDs to the new ones after import.
    • Our developer suggested potential improvements at the theme level (e.g., using attribute “slugs” instead of IDs in the widget), which we can consider for future updates, but it would require code changes.
    • For now, the best approach is to manually configure the “Filter by Attribute” widget(s) after the import is complete. Please go to Appearance > Widgets (or the Customizer > Widgets section), find the relevant filter widgets, and re-select the correct attributes (Color, Quantity, etc.) from the dropdown lists available on your site. This will link them correctly.

We understand the widget issue requires a manual step after import, and we appreciate you bringing these details to our attention.

Please let us know if checking the server resources helps with the menu import issue, or if you have any other questions.

      I hope this helps. Thanks!
