    +1 because this suitably addresses the ambiguity in "clean code". Asking "is the code clean" should really be "is the code highly covered with linters, unit, integ and e2e tests?" "is the code tracking in Git with a CI/CD pipeline?" "are daily builds being done?" Those should be answered first and then cleanliness is mostly automatic. Commented Apr 25, 2019 at 23:00
