Purchase and manage additional AI credits

    New release
    Figma Make
    AI
    Administration

Rolling out this week, admins can now purchase additional AI credits to use in Figma. Choose the option that works best for your team’s usage:

    • Purchase an AI subscription: For teams that use AI features regularly, you can subscribe to a package of monthly credits with volume-based pricing.
    • Enable pay-as-you-go billing: For teams with variable usage, you can add credits as needed up to your specified spending limit. This option can be used on its own or paired with a subscription to manage occasional usage spikes.

Pay-as-you-go is available for Organization and Enterprise plans now and the Professional plan in May 2026.

After purchase, admins can manage who has access to paid AI credits from the People tab or the AI credits page in the admin dashboard.

    Admin permissions by plan:

    • Professional: Team admins can add credits and manage user access.
    • Organization and Enterprise: Organization admins can add credits and manage user access.
    • Enterprise: Billing group admins can also manage paid credit access for users in their billing group.

GitHub Copilot users can now connect to the Figma MCP server to push rendered UI to the Figma canvas as editable frames. You can also pull design context from Figma into code. Available today in VS Code and coming soon in the Copilot CLI.

    This helps you:

    • Scope out new features or missing states in code, then push them to the canvas as a starting point for designers
    • Explore and compare directions together on the canvas before committing changes to code
    • Pull design context into Copilot to generate code that matches existing designs

Slots unlock dynamic components instances — from adding another menu option, button, or even an icon to your instances, without detaching.

    Slots are great for:

    • Components with repeating elements, like task lists or tabs.
    • Components that are frequently customized, like cards or modals.
    • Simplifying bloated design systems by decreasing variants or hidden layers.
    • Reducing detaches so instances continue receiving updates from the main component.

Align all your code components with your Figma components in the Code Connect UI. Users now have the ability to:

    • Attach multiple code files to a single Figma component
    • See code previews across multiple frameworks (requires GitHub connection)
    • Set MCP instructions specific for each code framework to help agents implement those components correctly

This feature is now available for all Organization and Enterprise plans.

Template picker updates in Figma Buzz

    Update
    Figma Buzz
    Assets

We’ve improved the template picker in Figma Buzz to make discovering and using templates simpler. Along with a visual refresh, all brand templates are now centralized under the “From [your company]” tab in a single view and organized by most recently published, rather than grouped by team. You can also now select and add multiple templates to the canvas at once directly from the template picker. These updates are rolling out this week.
