BUT ‼️... the reality is still falling short with findings often frequently presented as maps, tables or cell identifiers and treated as factual outputs, rather than as evaluative opinion evidence. 🤔 What's that saying? Familiarity breeds contempt? Well it doesn't do a lot for pen testing either 😬 Not a lot of good comes out of security testing based on: ✴️ The same scope ✴️ The same assumptions ✴️ The same approach and mindset ✴️ The same findings resurfacing each year Especially when environments are evolving all the time: cloud platforms expand, identities sprawl, APIs emerge, attack paths shift. So what mattered three years ago may now be well controlled. What wasn’t even considered then may now be the most likely route in. Just doing what you've always done is therefore...a bit risky? So how about shaking things up a bit? The one thing our CHECK-approved and CREST-accredited testing team is familiar with is how best to help organisations reshape their scope based on how their environment actually looks now. Prosecution cell site evidence – fit for court or ripe for challenge? 🤔 That's basically the premise of our new Compliance Check service, which seems to have landed well judging from the calls we've had since its launch last month. If you missed it then let's get you caught up. 👇 Under DIG200 (the cell site standard) and the Forensic Science Regulator’s Code of Practice, compliance isn’t optional. If cell site evidence hasn’t been properly prepared or expressed, it may be open to challenge – and potentially even exclusion under s78 PACE.
