On Tuesday, April 14th, the Global Schools Program is hosting an ECOSOC Youth Forum virtual side event: Schools for Goal 7: Transformative Education for Clean and Accessible Energy for All. The session brings together students, educators, and partners working at the intersection of education and the clean energy transition. Students from around the world will share projects that they have developed through the Schools for Goal 7 initiative. Their work ranges from building energy systems in Minecraft to designing real-world solutions like a smart dam. The event will also feature perspectives from global partners supporting this work globally, and a conversation about why education matters in accelerating progress on SDG 7. 📣 Deadline Extended for our Open Call for Initiatives: Mapping a Just Transition The UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) invites SDSN members and partner institutions to submit real-world solutions and initiatives that demonstrate how the shift to a low-carbon economy can be not only effective but also equitable and inclusive. Non-SDSN solutions must be endorsed by an SDSN Network.
