Surefire has a parameter called additionalClasspathElements for adding elements to the test classpath.

Is there a way to add elements to the test modulepath instead?

Answering my own question:

I just tested Surefire 3.5.2. If the project being tested is modular (contains module-info.java) then <additionalClasspathElements> ends up getting added to the modulepath instead of classpath.
