YJLLDB

Installation

  1. Clone the repository

    git clone https://github.com/geekonion/YJLLDB.git
  2. Locate or create the LLDB initialization file

    The LLDB initialization file is located at ~/.lldbinit. If it doesn't exist, create it:

    touch ~/.lldbinit
  3. Add YJLLDB to your LLDB configuration

    Open ~/.lldbinit in your preferred text editor and add the following line:

    command script import /path/to/YJLLDB/src/yjlldb.py

    Replace /path/to/YJLLDB with the actual path where you cloned the repository.

    For example, if you cloned it to your home directory:

    command script import ~/YJLLDB/src/yjlldb.py
  4. Verify the installation

    Start LLDB and check if YJLLDB commands are available:

    lldb (lldb) help

    You should see YJLLDB commands listed in the help output.


Commands in Detail

Breakpoint Commands

bab - break at bytes

Set breakpoints at specific byte patterns in user modules. Useful for locating instructions such as ret, nop, etc. across your application.

Set breakpoints on all functions and methods in the specified module. Extremely useful for comprehensive tracing and understanding program flow.

bdc - breakpoint disable current

Disable current breakpoint and continue execution. Quick way to bypass a breakpoint without deleting it.

bsave - save breakpoints

Save breakpoints (set by address) to a file.

slookup - Lookup String

Search for a specific string within a memory range. Useful for finding hardcoded strings, API keys, or other text data in memory.

Trace all functions in the specified module. By default, only OC methods are traced. To trace swift module, you need to add the -a option.

Dump the specified module from memory.

Dump current iOS App (arm64 only). Typically, dump decrypted ipa from jailbreak device.

addcmd

Add a lldb command for mac command line tool.

delcmd

Delete lldb command added by addcmd.

(lldb) delcmd which command "which" has been deleted (lldb) which error: 'which' is not a valid command.

dfile - Download File

Download files from the iOS device to your local machine. Supports both absolute paths and convenient shortcuts.

Using absolute path:

Using convenient shortcuts:

Detects endless loops in all threads at the current execution point. Useful for identifying performance issues and infinite loops.
