I have a bit of a connundrum concerning some stellar spectra (sun) I obtained from a lab session at my university (with a CMOS camera), where we underwent pixel-wavelength calibration of the spectra but did not at all undergo any calibration of the photon counts. I was wondering if normalising the data to be 1 at the peaks for both the data and planck fit and finding the ratio between the data and the continuum, physically meant anything (seen below in the figure)
I find a majority of the Fraunhofer lines and Telluric oxygen and water as well which are to be expected. The aim of this is to determine any equivalent widths for the Fraunhofer lines to try and gauge the approximate conditions found in the photosphere and chromosphere.
