I had a fresh installed Raspberry Pi 5 with Raspberry Pi OS 64-bit and from the beginning the Bluetooth dropdown menu was flickering. It was flickering even after I reinstalled the OS.

The flickering happens when I hover a menu item with the mouse pointer.

When I disable and enable Bluetooth again, it does not flicker for a period of time and starts flickering again.

  • Just got a Raspberry Pi 5 a couple of months ago and I have the same issue described here. It's basically impossible to connect to or remove any previously connected device, as the sub-menu flickers on and off and is unclickable. Commented Aug 4 at 9:20

Fixed in Version of May 13 2025: I tried the new Version that was released on May 13 2025 and the issue was gone.

So I think the best thing for everyone that has this problem should try the new version.

If the issue for other still remains I think it needs a new post or more detail of the used Version.
