What are the options to display static content (html) on Experience cloud site as a reusable asset between pages/portals?

I understand that there are options like following:

  1. Use external system like AEM, Drupal, Wordpress, SDL, Sitecore or other and CMS Connect (HTML) component
  2. use Static Resource html in Head Markup or custom LWC ?

Is there any simple option to store static content inside Salesforce?

I have tried to use a CMS Single Item and select some test content, however, it doesn't display the content but a red button View which does nothing.

I tried to use CMS collection and other Content types: Image, Document and News
