Read Star Wars Ahsoka
I read Star Wars Ahsoka. It bridges the Animated tv series Clone Wars and Rebels. I'm not sure someone who isn't into Star Wars would be very interested in this book or that they'd be able to follow along without all the background information that SW fans soak up about the SW verse. It is kind of a study of isolation and loneliness. Ahsoka isn't helpless, but she's very alone in a galaxy that used to have hundreds or maybe more jedi in it. (I've never seen an exact number revealed for how many jedi there are.
The book also hints that Ahsoka might be a lesbian, but is unwilling to atatch herself to other people.
The writing wasn't bad. I've certainly read worse. I enjoyed it, but it wasn't quite as compelling as some SW books I've read. I think it suffered a little from the perspective of jedi detatchment.
