Louise Brooks Society ™ - a pioneering fan site and online archive devoted to the legendary silent film star. Online for 30 years.
Launched in 1995, the Louise Brooks Society is a pioneering fan site & online archive devoted to the silent film star best known for her bobbed hair and legendary role as Lulu in the classic German film, "Pandora's Box".
Among other things.... The LBS has helped with the preservation of Brooks' films, published five books and numerous articles (with more on the way), put on exhibits and events, contributed to DVDs, and successfully campaigned to bring "Lulu in Hollywood" and the Barry Paris biography of the actress back into print. Along with its acclaimed website (which contains an extensive filmography and archive), the LBS also maintains a blog, a Substack, and a handful of social media accounts.
