I've recently switched to Android from iOS. I'm a bit annoyed that my Gmail notifications do not include any of the body. It only displays the subject.

This is what it looks like (not my phone, but it gets the point across). You can see that it doesn't show the body at all.

I'd prefer it to look like this below

How can I do this?

I am on a Motorola Edge 50 Pro - Android 15.

Android differentiates between notifications on lock screen and notifications shown when the phone is unlocked. Your screenshot shows the lock screen, what are the Android settings about notifications on lock screen? Have you checked that there is also no body when the phone is unlocked? • @AndrewT. Sorry about that - I've updated it now. I am on a Motorola Edge 50 Pro - Android 15. Yes, I can see more if I swipe down but it'd be nice to see it all from just a glance. Commented Apr 28 at 12:14
  • @Robert I've set it to allow everything when locked even. I can see the body if I swipe down. But I'd rather it automatically be expanded for me. Commented Apr 28 at 12:15
