Search for a term from the Home Screen

You see “Search in Apps” which for me includes the entries “Search Maps” and “Search App Store”

How do I disable this “Search in Apps section” in iOS 26?

  • Go to Settings -> Search and Lookup, scroll down to list of apps and repeat to every app you don’t want to appear in search: untoggle “Show app in search”, “Show content in search” Commented Jul 25 at 9:12
  • I tried switching those off for Maps and App Store, but the two entries at the bottom of the search screen aren’t affected Commented Jul 26 at 8:01
