Hi there,
I have heard that with the newest version of the cert exam, that the level considered "pass" has changed (I assume from 71%). Could anyone fill me in on what this might be now?
thnx!

As far as I know, the score to pass is now 61%. I think it was previously 71% before they changed the exam.

Hi Tod,
Best to always check Sun's Certification Site if you have any doubts.
At last peek, the site is showing 61% pass, 59 questions, 120 minutes.
Hope that helps.

to 61% on October 4, 2000.
The duration of the exam was lowered to 90 minutes on

I checked w/ Sun, and now it is indeed 61% to pass. Why would they do something like that, now it'll be easier to pass, and not as "exclusive" a certification as certain vendors hoped. However, is it that much more difficult now, is that the catch?

From previous posts, it is assumed to be more difficult thus the lower passing grade.

Any one can confirm the time?
I read and heard that it is originally 90 min for 61 questions and the passing score is 61%.
