Hi :
I completed my SCEA in 2011 , that's the only SUN/Oracle certification which I am having .
I checked the contents 1Z0-862 or 1Z0-897 Java EE 5/6 Web Services Developer Certified Professional Exam and it looks interesting .
I am willing to take this exam , whether I can do that Or I need SCJP for it ? How can I confirm it , I checked oracle site and it says
Please let me know more about it .
Thanks
XslGuy

Nicky,
The SCEA is not a valid pre-requisite for this exam. You need the SCJP (any version) or OCJPJP 7. (which replaced the SCJP).
The reason is that OCEJWSD is considered a code level test. Whereas someone who took the SCEA may only know architecture and not code.

Thanks for reply , I just saw this on oracle university page :
http://education.oracle.com/pls/web_prod-plq-dad/db_pages.getpage?page_id=654&get_params=p_id:161
It says above as Prior Certification Requirements , please let me know if you think otherwise .
Thanks
Nick

Hmm interesting... you are right, it seems Oracle have changed their Prior Certification Requirements.
If you have Sun certified Java Enterprise Architect Master any version you can do any of the EE6 certified expert exams (WCD, WSD, EJB, JPA, JSF)

Nick,
It does say that, so you are good to go.
(I didn't check the site yesterday since you had quoted it)
