Heyz. I'm Kelley, welcome to my Dreamwidth home. I crosspost to LiveJournal and generally log in there more frequently--the personal journals and communities I watch over there are both more plentiful and more active. I love the principles behind Dreamwidth, though, and would like to revive blogging and blog-reading in my life. If I appear out of nowhere adding you to my lists, it's because I found you interesting and feel you'd stimulate my blog reflex. ;)
A lot of what I post here is public, though as I get older, my desire to limit who has access to what information about me seems to morph. It's odd: when I was a teenager, I remember thinking I'd feel mortified if anyone from my offline life found my journal. Now, I'm more OK with (and even welcoming of) that possibility; but I also want to keep certain things from the general public's consumption. Know what I mean? I grant access fairly liberally, though, so if you want access to that stuff and I haven't added you, feel free to ask.
I'm a sex-positive, porn-positive, non-monogamous, kinky, disabled feminist. I'm hoping to be involved with a local independent, queer, feminist porn outfit soon, once they get their promo video edited and released so they can begin fundraising. So expect to read some about that. I'm also slowly inching my way into the local BDSM "scene," somewhat--though in my case, it's more with individual partners than group play parties and whatnot. So there'll be some of that, too, with any luck. All that said: I don't consider this an "adult/sex" journal. I'm a member of communities in that vein and I occasionally participate to varying levels, but this journal is about me and not about my naked parts. Sex is fun and important, but it's far from everything. There will be some content which is adult in nature, though; and I don't really dig the idea of withholding sexual information from people based solely on their age. Read at your own discretion.
I also often philosophize/rant about inaccessibility, disabled body image, disabled people and work, and just generally the social model of disability. It's a big part of my life, as a physically disabled person, and in my experience we still have a long way to go in terms of equal access, visibility, and acceptance. (Got questions about my disability? Ask me! I'm not ashamed of my body.) :)
I also really, really love music and post song lyrics a lot if a song is particularly moving to me, which I guess annoys some people? Whatever, it's my journal. :)
Well, it's been a pleasure introducing myself to you. ;) Feel free to introduce yourself to me, as well!

What if the water that came out of the shower was treated with a chemical that responded to a combination of things, like your heart-beat, and your body temperature, and your brain waves, so that your skin changed color according to your mood? If you were extremely excited your skin would turn green, and if you were angry you’d turn red obviously, and if you felt like shiitake you’d turn brown, and if you were blue you’d turn blue. Everyone could know what everyone else felt, and we could be more careful with each other, because you’d never want to tell a person whose skin was purple that you’re angry at her for being late, just like you would want to pat a pink person on the back and tell him congratulations.
