Inspiration
Vietnam’s digital economy lives on Zalo, yet thousands of SMEs still manage complex inventory and orders through manual chats and scattered spreadsheets. We were inspired to bridge this "management gap" by turning a simple chat interface into a powerful, automated business engine that could also help them communicate their offerings to potential customers, without sweat.
What it does
Cashr is an AI-powered platform designed for the Vietnamese market. It features a Zalo Bot for instant customer interactions and a centralized web platform for business owners. The system also allows inventory tracking, order processing, and transaction management, allowing SMEs to run professional operations.
How we built it
We architected a full-stack solution using NextJS for a seamless mobile experience, integrated with a FlaskAPI backend. We utilized PostgreSQL for our persistence needs. The AI workflow was built with GPT-5.4 to parse and handle Zalo messages from our customers to the bot.
Challenges we ran into
Building complex self-referencing relationships for social features and inventory dependencies was a significant hurdle. We also faced a steep learning curve in optimizing the push-and-sync timeline models to ensure that an order placed on Zalo reflects instantly on the web dashboard without lag or data conflicts.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We successfully moved beyond simple CRUD functionality to create a high-performance relational data stream. We are especially proud of our Zalo-to-Web synchronization, which allows a non-technical shop owner to manage a high volume of transactions with almost zero manual entry.
What we learned
We gained deep insights into the specific UX needs of Vietnamese SMEs, realizing that "less is more" when it comes to interface design. Technically, we mastered full-stack architecture and the nuances of cloud hosting for image-heavy research and inventory data.
What's next for Cashr
Our next milestone is integrating real-time analytics and expanding our AI to handle automated fecal phenotyping research data for health-conscious nutrition brands. We also plan to scale our infrastructure to support thousands of concurrent Zalo sessions for upcoming regional hackathons.
