I cannot for the life of me successfully sync my Google Calendar with the elementary Calendar app. I use 2FA so understand I will need to use an App Password. But, there are so many URLs in the Google Calendar settings and I am unsure where to put one of these when setting up the account in elementary OS. I am a little overwhelmed. If anyone can shed any light on the matter it would be much appreciated.

I just did it now. I also have 2FA.
- Generate an app password for the calendar in your google account.
- Open Maya (elementary Calendar) and add new google calendar from the cog menu (top right).
- Fill in your gmail in the "user account" field and confirm.
- A dialog pops up asking for password. Insert the app password created in step 1.
Done. After this I could see my events showing up in the callendar.
- This works, also on 7.1! Would be nice to be able to add different calendars from Google Calendar, though.Fred Rocha– Fred Rocha2024-10-09 10:39:43 +00:00Commented Oct 9, 2024 at 10:39
- 1@FredRocha I think I've managed to do that in the past, but I don't have this setup at the moment (I changed team and we don't use shared calendar in the new team) so I'm not sure exactly how to do it. I recall each google calendar has its own URL which should be used in the setup. The only place I see is as user account (step 3 above), maybe try that..jena– jena2024-10-10 11:06:15 +00:00Commented Oct 10, 2024 at 11:06
- 1Ok I just tried that and it failed, but there was some way...jena– jena2024-10-10 11:14:50 +00:00Commented Oct 10, 2024 at 11:14
- Thanks @jena, I will wait for release 8. But this is not a deal breaker for me right now, anyway.Fred Rocha– Fred Rocha2024-10-10 15:17:38 +00:00Commented Oct 10, 2024 at 15:17
