Request for reorganization of sections
[edit]The current organization of this article seems insufficient. If someone could reorganize it into different sections rather than keeping everything clumped under "19th century", this would be a marked improvement on the article and greatly appreciated. History of Cherokee Advocate
[edit]The current Cherokee Phoenix is descended from the Cherokee Advocate, which began publishing in 1844 and is described in the See also section as "a separate publication." The Cherokee Phoenix name was revived in 2007 per its website. Would it be appropriate to rename this article Cherokee Phoenix (Georgia) and redirect Cherokee Advocate to a new article titled Cherokee Phoenix (Oklahoma), per naming scheme in step one of the Wikiproject Newspapers tutorial? Or would it be better to include the history of the Cherokee Advocate in this article? ElToAn123 (talk) 04:30, 23 January 2026 (UTC)
