I would like that particle system travels only on sphere surface. I have set sphere and particle system as it's child. How to constraint particle system ?

How to make trails follow along sphere surface?

On sphere it would look something like this

with trails: enter image description here

without trails: enter image description here

  • \$\begingroup\$ Complex behaviours. For starters I would like PS travels along the surface and then I could set noise. I forgot to ask how to make trails follow along sphere surface? \$\endgroup\$ Commented May 18, 2017 at 18:13

\$\begingroup\$ Hmm, let's try a different angle: What's the final effect you want to achieve? Depending on what the end result is, there might be more suitable solutions than trying to bend a particle system to fit. Including a sketch, mock-up, or example of similar effects in existing games/TV/film may help clarify your goals. \$\endgroup\$ Commented May 18, 2017 at 18:15
  • \$\begingroup\$ I've updated the post. There are a lot of examples in movies and games. It would be to much to post it all. Did I described it well with sketch ? \$\endgroup\$ Commented May 18, 2017 at 18:44
  • \$\begingroup\$ How are you controlling this system? Does the user click on the surface of the sphere to get particles to move (there)? You're going to have to tell us more or we won't be able to help you. \$\endgroup\$ Commented May 18, 2017 at 18:46
