Is there a way to create a column of the downstream id/cat segment to help create the routing graph for routing streamflow from one segment to another?
I extracted the streams as lines from r.stream.extract in QGIS. The "network" column has streams on the same network, but not all of the flow paths are connected, because tributaries can be on the same network.
I was wondering if there is a simple solution. I was thinking of extracting the nearest distance from stream start/end points and using a maximum threshold (small distance) to determine if one stream flows into another based on sorting by "cat" for each "network".
Maybe the data are in the output already and I may be misunderstanding. I couldn't really find anything in the Grass manual that would help me out.
