We have multiple Image mosaic stores on the server however this particular store is quite large and we want to share it between multiple GeoServer instances.
When I either user the share name ''\instance.file.core.windows.net\sharename\data_store'' or a mapped drive that points to the same place I get and error
Could not find file: file:"PATH provided in the url"
If I copy that URL to a browser and drop it in it works fine so I know the path is good.
The files are valid, moving some of the files to the local drives shows I can build a store from them.
I can connect to the store from the server and write to it as the local system user that GeoServer is running as, I can create a GWC folder from the geoserver on the fileshare without error.
I have tried running the GeoServer service as my domain admin user also to no avail.
no logs seem to be generated by the failure either.
Any pointers?
Running Windows Server 2022, GeoServer 2.26.2, Java JDK 24
