This script is called genQL, I started developping it at the start of 2010 to backup our websites and mysql databases. Written by JuPiTeR (Nelson-Jean Gaasch), thanks to the precious help of Nuxien (Johan Roussel) and grosboulet. Please be sure you don't email us telling this script is sh*t without mentioning why and how you would improve it better (precise code example wanted) :) thank you ^^ This script has the following dependencies: * usual binutils, rsync, wget, mailx. * apache2-utils sharutils (debian packages for htpasswd and uuencode) #### # dat file specifications: Each line represents a site to backup # dns;active;protocol;l0gin;ftpassword;sshkeyname;loginhtacces;passhtaccess;altdns;port;rpath;timesite;daysite;timedb;daydb;coef;GB;priority;pingtest # dns: Contains the dns of the site to save # active: 1 if site's backup is active ; 0 if it's inactive # protocol: ftp or ssh # login: Which login to use to login to the site # pass: Password for login (ONLY for FTP ; for ssh, RSA key-authentication is used) # sshkeyname; name of the ssh key to be used # loginhtaccess: login to be used for the site's htaccess # passhtaccess: pass to be used for the site's htaccess # altdns: Sometimes, the ftp to backup a site doesn't have the same address as the site itself, this is where you declare it # port: does the ftp/ssh service run on a particular port? # rpath: Where on the server is the directory? (important for the .htaccess) # timesite: Time where the site should be backed-up # daysite: Day the site should be backed up # timedb: time of the db backup # daydb: Day the DB should be backed up # coef: coeficient of space # GB: Allowed backup size # Priority: Allows to define which sites are the most important ones to backup # Pingtest: should we perform a pingtest with this site? #####
