The ESP8266 doesn't support I2C, it is implemented mostly in software in the official SDK.

| See #136 (comment). I could work around that but it seems like a good idea to add Go module support anyway for reproducible builds (and I still wonder why it doesn't work for you). |

This PR updates the site for the 0.16.0 release except for the generated machine package pages, which I could not get to work yet.
@aykevl could you please generate and add those pages to this PR so we can merge it? Thanks!
