On a recent project of mine I field tested and fixed this PR as I needed a custom heartbeat behaviour. 🥳
@shrynshjn thank you for suggesting this feature in the first place! It just needed removal of the default values and a typo fix in the *.cpp file to properly compile and work. 👍
The proposed solution should not break existing code and should thus be easily mergable if so desired. 😇🚀
