Hi, I'm Abhay Gupta — a backend-focused engineer with a strong interest in distributed systems, real-time architectures, and open source. I’ve worked as a Founding Engineer / Partner at early-stage startups, where I owned backend architecture, APIs, real-time systems, and platform reliability while building production-ready products from the ground up.
Previously, I was selected as a Google Summer of Code 2024 contributor with the Chromium project, where I worked on the Web Audio Buffer rewrite, improving performance, test coverage, and production reliability in a large-scale open-source codebase.
I’ve also contributed to open source projects across the CNCF ecosystem, including Kubernetes, Jenkins, and WasmCloud, and I regularly write about engineering and system design at abhayporwals.hashnode.dev.
