Today, I was replaying Oblivion, and ever since the two of us somehow got into an epic barfight with half of Bravil my first time through the game (by accident, and I'm still not quite sure just how that happened, or how apparently none of it counted as a crime), it's been a personal tradition to drag Maglir off to do something ridiculous while he's in my party. This time, I decided to take him with me to close an Oblivion gate.
So we're in the upper levels of The Blood Feast when suddenly we're ambushed by a couple of Flame Atronachs and an armored Dremora. And during the ensuing scuffle, Maglir's sword breaks. So he starts using his fists, gets hit with a fireball, and...
I just saw a burning Maglir punch a Dremora off a bridge, laughing the whole time.
I just saw Maglir.
Punch a Dremora off a bridge.
While he was on fire.
AND HE WAS LAUGHING THE WHOLE TIME.
...and people wonder why I like this guy.
Anyway, what are some really cool things your favorite bashed character has done?
For a more legitimate scripted plot example for Maglir, I said in my last defense about him that my respect for him went through the roof when he challenged the Champion of Cyrodiil even though he pretty much knew it was suicide.

Date: 2013-09-07 02:49 pm (UTC)My favourite bashed character... let's see, Pinoko has saved the main character, Black Jack, from dying a few times and gotten him out of jail! She's pretty awesome.

Date: 2013-09-23 03:08 am (UTC)ETA: But I fixed things for Maglir. I made him my Dovahkiin. It never gets old seeing Maglir- who you can make nearly identical to his Oblivion counterpart with a hide helmet and iron armor (for FG Mags) or Orcish armor (for BW Mags)- jump onto a dragon's head in slow motion, and some of the letters addressed to him are instant hilarity.
