I grew up in Central Pennsylvania, and traveled all over the world — including four years spent in London — before settling down in Philadelphia, three hours away from my home town. Go figure. Five years ago, I picked up again and moved my worldly possessions and my not-so-worldly cats to Milwaukee, where I am enjoying an absolutely amazing lake and really good beer.

Loved Buffy/Angel (although remain unconverted by other vampire stories), and will talk fannish pursuits at the slightest sign of encouragement. Wrote Farscape fic with intensity and devotion until the fourth season took my muse out behind the woodshed and summarily shot her. I have no idea where my fic is posted these days, but a google search for my username should turn it up, if anyone's really interested -- I've been huzzlewhat wherever I've gone online. Dived into Smallville with intensity and devotion; I've written a couple of fics, but am meta-intensive. This is possibly fuelled by my long-standing attachment to comics, and my belief that Tom Welling is too beautiful too be fully human. I find myself thinking the same thing about Orlando Bloom, and so am already half-convinced by fics that cast him as an alien/genetic construct/clone/etc. Am known for finding fandoms about five years too late and then struggling to navigate my way through broken links and purged accounts.

I usually but do not automatically friend back — please don't take it personally if I don't. This is simply out of self-preservation — I keep my flist of a manageable size for quick updates, or else I would be facing unemployment. This should in no way be taken as a legally binding admission to spending time online during work hours.

I don't mind if people discuss matters vigorously, but I do require that anyone posting to my LJ observe the generally accepted rules of polite debate. I have only ever banned one poster from my LJ, and that was because she subjected another poster to profane and abusive language. Keep it civilized, and you're welcome to talk about whatever interests you.
