I want to become fluent in Arabic through self-study. Since Arabic has many dialects, I want to first focus on learning Modern Standard Arabic (Fusha) and then later move on to the Gulf dialect.

Right now, I’m really confused about which book to start with! I'm Iranian, and since many Arabic and Persian words are similar, we study Fusha Arabic in school for about 6 years. However, the focus is mostly on grammar, not speaking.

Now I want to improve my speaking skills, and I would really appreciate it if you could guide me: Which book should I start with? Should I go with "Al-Arabiyyah Bayna Yadayk", "Al-Arabiyyah Lil-Alam", "Sadi al-Hayat", or something else?thanks for your help
