The citation helper button doesn't seem to be working.

After opening the tool, entering the details in the search bar of the "Insert citation" popup window, and hitting return, I only see the search continuing indefinitely (the three sliding dots keep recurring). No suggestions show up.

The citation helper button works fine for me on MathOverflow, so it is perhaps an issue only on this site. I can reproduce this issue on Safari (Version 18.5) on macOS Sequoia 15.5.

$\begingroup$ I am trying to get SE to implement the new version of this, which would use a new back-end. Hopefully this will happen soon. I can confirm this is indeed not working right now. $\endgroup$ Commented Jul 1 at 11:25
  • $\begingroup$ I'm currently not able to reproduce this. Can you try in an incognito window or do you see any console errors when you attempt it? $\endgroup$ Commented Jul 7 at 13:39
  • $\begingroup$ @KyleMit I see the following errors on the console: [Error] Origin https://math.stackexchange.com is not allowed by Access-Control-Allow-Origin. • $\begingroup$ I am not running any userscripts on my own. I am also able to reproduce the issue on Microsoft Edge (Version 138.0.3351.65 (Official build) (64-bit)) on Windows 11 Pro. $\endgroup$ Commented Jul 8 at 13:44
  • $\begingroup$ Should I login to Stack Exchange on Incognito mode and then try to reproduce the issue? This site requires registration for posting questions and answers, so I cannot do it anonymously. (I am currently unable to see the edit button on any post while browsing in Incognito mode; I suppose this is because there are already many pending suggested edits.) $\endgroup$ Commented Jul 8 at 13:53
