I already asked deletion a month ago and my account is still alive.

  • I think only SE can answer this. I think you better use the Contact Us form again to ask for a reason that your GDPR request isn't carried out as required. There might be a backlog / technical reason / other issue that explains the current state. Feel free to link to this question in your Contact Us request. Commented Sep 30, 2024 at 18:20
  • They are allowed one month of processing, based on: meta.stackexchange.com/questions/336713/… Commented Sep 30, 2024 at 18:28
  • Have you cast a significant number of votes on a site? If you have, then a staff member has to look through your voting record to determine if your votes should be preserved to prevent significant impacts to others' reputation. Commented Sep 30, 2024 at 19:10
  • As a workaround, you can go to each site on which you have a profile and request that each of those be deleted. Provided you haven't cast a significant number of votes, these requests will be processed automatically. The instructions are in the above link. Commented Sep 30, 2024 at 19:10
  • @rene any reason to assume GDPR law is applicable to this user? Commented Oct 1, 2024 at 7:42
  • @SPArcheon-onstrike Most companies are already - or at least should be - treating every user as if they are covered by the strictest regulation possible. If I ask for a DSR erasure, nobody is checking if something as specific/localized as GDPR applies - they just do a thorough wipe and that's it. Now, that doesn't mean that's what this user asked for - a DSR erasure is completely separate from a standard profile delete, and it's unclear which of those the OP means when they say "I already asked deletion"...
