Curious about how to start in 2D "tradigital" animation as a hobbyist? Here's a guide - additional recommended resources (especially free/low-cost ones) appreciated. (I'm not a professional nor do I intend to be, so I can't discuss animation from that angle, although you're welcome to discuss your own journey!)
General rules nicked fromfancoding:
- Be kind, don't be a jerk. It's fine to critique commercial resources, but please be kind and constructive about people's personal projects/WIPs.
- No bigotry, etc. I reserve the right to ban without warning.
- Please cut-tag NSFW, "graphic catten harm!!!", large/lots of images, etc. with content notes outside the cut.
Other notes:
- My WIP posts are sometimes locked to the comm; yours don't have to be.
- You're welcome to post your own art/animation/music/??? projects/discussion here, despite the name of the comm. I'll post (often publicly) about resources (animation, art, music, sound design, composing, screenwriting, comics, vidding/video editing/music videos, whatever) as I come across them.
- You're also totes welcome to discuss anything hexarchate-related, whether it's the books, the webcomic project, the RPG, the animation project, or whatever.
