(I have been saved from the horror of basic-themes by two things, first, the great how-to on dreamwidth layouts by
antagonist, and the layout itself is I'll Still Remember, by
scholarslayouts. Major thanks to both!)
Uh, copying this straight from my LJ for now:
Yo.
You have reached the LJ of Page Russet. ...You poor, unfortunate individual. *cackles manically*
ME:
Name, Page. Location, New Zealand. Vocation, amateur writer. (Although not literally, of course, because then I would be a professional. It just rhymes.) Yeah so, me, I'm a student studying Anthropology because it's the coolest topic ever. I'm also a writer, and I'm allowed to call myself coz that's what I do. I may be the coolest person ever. (...I also may not be.)
I like to talk about myself a lot, so don’t expect some reticent, humble, self-depreciating journal because you won’t find it here. If I feel like talking about why I like eggs boiled but not scrambled then I will, don’t complain to me; I aint forcing you to read it. My interests are wide and varied, so I won’t go into them, save to say (warn?) that I am a passionate Christian, (although probably not what the average person thinks of as Christian), Bi, deeply feminist, somewhat rude, often foolish and unapologeticly amused by my own brain. So if you want a kosher, (*snort*) politically-correct or even NOT politically correct journal that doesn’t contain any material that could possibly offend someone who was traumatised at a young age by people impersonating donkeys or whatever, you probably won’t find it here. I'm all about not having your brain deeply indoctrinated by your own culture. But I fail at that, often, too. My rule is pretty much: My journal, my mind, my world; go away if you don’t like it. ya.
CONTENT:
This is both a personal journal, and a writing journal. Part of the point of this journal, for me personally, is to chronicle the process of me learning to write and growing in my talent and abilities. (In other words, there’s a lot of fairly repetitive stuff like, “I wrote four whole words for the next chapter today, I feel proud.” etc). There is no filtering, so if you only want to read my writing posts, read through the taggy thing on the left of the main page, (you can find my main stories, or the genres I write in, or everything) or check out my sticky post which should be relatively up to date, and/or use the notification system with my tag ‘written’ as all completed chapters will have that tag. (Don't link to the tag 'writing' unless you want to see every comment I make about writing, which is usually just: "wrote some stuff today; no, the chapter isn't finished.") Please be aware that this journal contains R18/NC17 homoerotic content that is not suitable for children. Anyone under the legal age in their country/state should please leave.
All material on this journal is copyright to me, 2005-2009 unless otherwise stated. :D (Plagiarism will make you go blind and your fingers drop off).
Works here include Harry Potter fanfiction, Supernatural fanfic, Anita Blake, some Japanese band-slash, and perhaps the occasional poem and original piece. At present I am training through writing fanfics with the idea of working up to one of my many original novels I would like to get published one day. I love to talk about me and my writing, so please feel free to comment, I will respond - even if you’re a total loony! (I know I am).
My Harry Potter writing can also be found at Skyehawke, here, but I warn you that random drabbles, band-slash, supernatural fic and lots of story hints probably won’t be found there.
FRIENDING/Circle blah blah: (for DW)
Like everyone else I am still getting my head around this whole access/subscription thing. I never used to flock any entries apart from thing deeply personal and private (i.e. like, 3 entries ever), so I WOULD give access, but I don't need to. I don't subscribe to many people because the internet distracts me too much anyway, but that doesn't mean I'm not reading them/you anyway, (bookmarks are my favourite type of virtual candy).
So yeah, after all that blather, I hope you got the info you were looking for! *laughs* Any questions or anything feel free to email me at page dot russet@ gmaildotcom (with appropriate emaily grammar!) or comment somewhere. Thanks for your time and I hope you enjoy your stay at the Confusion.
