I am using spring and hibernate and currently making test case for database test and i am getting this error

This looks like a classpath issue:

  • try another version of the asm jars (or look for the appropriate version in the spring download section / release notes)
  • check if there aren't two different versions of asm on your classpath, and remove the redundant one.

Yup. The 3.x version of org.objectweb.asm.ClassWriter has a constructor with an int argument, but older ones (e.g. 2.2.3) do not. Looks like net.sf.cglib.core.DebuggingClassWriter expects ASM 3.x but the OP's webapp actually has an older JAR on the classpath.
